Ingredients
200g Mung Beans
1 Medium Red Onion
2 Cloves Garlic
½ Red Pepper
½ Yellow Pepper
1 Green Chilli
1 tsp Tomato Puree
2 tbsp Butter
200ml Water
Salt to Taste Pre preparations
1. Soak the mung beans for a minimum of 8 hours.
Cooking the mungs beans
1. Boil the mung beans with water and 1 tsp salt for 30 minutes.
2. Drain the mung beans for water.
Cooking the recipe
1. Add butter and fry the red onion, garlic, red pepper, yellow pepper and green chilli for 5 minutes.
2. Add the mung beans, water and tomato puree and mix well.
3. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes and then mix well.
4. Add 1 tsp salt and mix well.
5. Serve with your favourite rice.
